We all have times when we could use a little help. Our church exists, in part, to be a help to those in need. Whether you need physical help, like fixing a car that won’t start, or you feel like your life is falling apart and want a friendly ear to listen and maybe someone to pray for you, we can help.
“Bear one another’s burdens and thereby fulfill the Law of Christ.” ~ Galatians 6:2
The Caring Ministry equips and encourages our church body to be involved in providing prayer, love and practical acts of caring for one another. We desire to help those within our church and in our community.
Our goal is to demonstrate Jesus’ love by assisting those who need help due to a crisis or a physical concern. This assistance will be on a one-time or short-term basis.
- Meals for families with a new baby or for those affected by a hospital stay or long-term illness
- Hospital visits
- Minor Home Repair
- Minor Auto Repair
- Transportation assistance
- Help moving large items
- Yard work
- School backpack projects
- Garden sharing
This ministry is dependent upon you informing us of a need. If you find yourself, your family, a friend or someone in the community in a time of crisis, please let us know by filling out this request form:
Wednesday Night Meals and Childcare
Life just keeps getting busier and busier for families. We realize how hard it can be to add one more thing to your calendar, even something good like youth group or volunteering. To help out our families whose kids are attending Wednesday night programs, and for the volunteers who are serving on those evenings, we offer a meal and some childcare. Rather than rushing home, and trying to throw together a quick meal on Wednesdays, just come to church. We serve a simple, kid-friendly meal each Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm before programming begins. And for volunteers, we have childcare available from 5:45 pm to 8:30 pm.
If you would like to partake of the Family Meal, we ask that you sign up each week by Noon on Tuesdays. You can sign up by contacting the church office at (218) 327-9343 or Office@grefc.org.
Prayer calls down the power of God into our daily lives. No problem is too small, no situation beyond hope. If you would like prayer for yourself or someone you know, please consider submitting a prayer request. It will be handled with confidentiality from whomever is praying for you – whether it’s the prayer chain, or the Elders and Pastors. But we do ask that you come back and let us know how God answered your prayer. We love being able to give praise back to our healer and savior.
