Whether you’re a single in your 20’s or 30’s, married with a few kiddos, empty nesters, or a wise senior, we have a place for you to be with others in the community of believers here at GREFC. The ministries of our church exist to help us fulfill the Great Commandment: To love God (Matthew 22:37-40) and the Great Commission: To love others (Matthew 28:19-20).
Connect with others, grow in your faith, and help others along the way.
We encourage all adults and families to be involved in community groups to do life together and be the church, growing in intimacy, with the goal of loving and blessing others. To learn more about community groups in Grand Rapids, MN and throughout the area, click HERE.

One of the most practical and helpful things you can do for someone else is to pray for them. We have a prayer chain established to be sure that people who have a prayer request are being covered in prayer by our congregation.
When the church receives a prayer request, it is given to the prayer chain group leaders who in turn call all the members of their team to get the request to the most people in the shortest amount of time. All requests for prayer are considered confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside the prayer chain unless given permission to do so.
To submit a prayer request electronically please click HERE.

The purpose of our local Missions Team is to fulfill the Great Commission by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ, making disciples, and gathering the disciples into the local congregations, while relating to the needs of the total person (spiritual, physical, emotional and social).
The focus of the Missions Team is short and long term planning for goals and continued financial support of our missionaries. We support international, national, and local missions as well as contribute a portion of our budget to the missions work of the EFCA (Evangelical Free Church in America).
We also support and help raise funds for short term mission trips from our congregation to the Dominican Republic, partnering with Building Without Borders to build homes for families in remote villages.
Short and long term goals for the Missions Team include maintaining awareness of ongoing and new missions efforts, both locally and globally, and to come along side existing community mission programs to assist and encourage participation.
Missions receiving financial support from the Mission’s Team include:
- Church Planting
- Psalm 99.5 Radio
- Itasca Youth For Christ
- Short Term Mission Trips and Summer Service
- Bible Camps
- North Central District EFCA
- REACH Global
- CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ)
- Verge Ministries
- New Tribes Missions
In addition to supporting physical organizations and people, the Mission’s Team has also been blessed to be able to allocate resources to the following areas:
- Purchasing Bibles to be freely given to any church attenders
- Purchasing Recovery Bibles for residents of Hope House
- Receiving special offerings for natural disaster relief efforts
We also support Global Missions in places including Poland, Philippines, France, Honduras and Papua New Guinea.

God gave us a beautiful plot of land for our church building. We want to be good stewards of what we’ve been given, so we have a team of people who work towards that effort. From mowing to snowplowing, making repairs to doing a bit of gardening, the property team handles it all. They also get the larger church community to help out on a couple of special occasions like the Spring and Fall Clean Ups.
If you’re handy and like to work outdoors, we could put you to work on the property team.
