Every part of this trip amazed me! Seeing God work in every way, big and small. I will forever treasure everyone I met…. Especially the kids! I can’t stop looking at the photos of the kids. I miss them. I love the colored pictures they gave me.
The people there have so little, yet they are so happy. They smile, they work alongside us, they give hugs, they make us coffee.
Visiting the school was very special. Our interpreter, One (pronounced “oh-nay”), was a huge blessing at the school. He brought life to our words. It’s amazing that we can go into a public school and do a skit from the Bible and teach Christian songs.
I watched my 16 yr old son, Hunter, connect with people there. Seeing him smile and hug his new friends (and use Pastor Juan’s special handshake) was heart warming.
I’ve traveled to many places, but this trip meant more than I ever imagined.
Faith is a Journey
You never really “arrive” at becoming a mature disciple maker. We are all called to continually grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus, to grow in love for others, to get better at blessing those around us and to increasingly share the love of Jesus with everyone. At GREFC we realize this through four key areas: Connect, Equip, Serve & Go!
