Discover GREFC Membership Class

The Discover GREFC Membership Class helps individuals learn more about GREFC, themselves, and how together we can do amazing things in the name of God!

New Class Format! When you sign up for the class you will receive a Membership Booklet that covers all the material. We ask that you read through the workbook, complete the S.H.A.P.E. Questionnaires, take down notes and questions, then bring those questions (and the workbook) to the class. The group, along with the instructors, will discuss all the questions and hit on the most important points during the class time. Each adult should complete their own workbook!

The workbook is divided into 3 parts:

Who We Are – This section explores our denomination, GREFC’s beliefs, values, and doctrines. This helps those who are curious about what our church believes and teaches, the EFCA denomination, what we hold important and why.

Who You Are – Learn how God uses everything you’ve gone through, everything He’s given you, and how He uniquely made you for something wonderful. Start on the road to finding your purpose and living a fulfilling life by helping to build the Kingdom of God.

Where We’re Going – We are on a mission and we have a vision that will help us accomplish that mission. This class focuses on GREFC’s philosophy of ministry with an emphasis on relationships and disciple making.

• The GREFC Constitution, Bylaws, & Resolutions
• GREFC Membership Application

Next Steps: After reading through all the material and attending the class, those wishing to move forward with membership will complete and submit the Membership Application and will be scheduled for an informal meeting with the Elder Board. From there, the Elders will make a recommendation to the GREFC members, nominating you for membership. A vote will come before the members at the next Quarterly Business Meeting. A majority yes vote means you become the newest member of GREFC.

Please note: If you register online, you should stop by the church to pick up your workbook at the Welcome Center as soon as possible so that you have time to get through all of the material before the class starts! The church is open Monday-Thursday, 9:00-4:00 pm. If you can’t make those hours, give us a call and we’ll arrange a time to get the workbook to you.
