Sunday Morning Adult Education: Deep Discipleship: Story | Belief | Formation

February 8 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Sunday, repeating until April 26, 2026

Discipleship is best done in the context of the local church. But many churches who desire discipleship training have not been able to find an in-depth yet accessible option.

This comprehensive training program will provide churches a 24-week discipleship course to meet this deep desire to equip and disciple their people into a greater love and knowledge of God.

The video-based training includes a clear scope of discipleship and integrated curriculum which balances Christian story (Bible literacy), Christian belief (theological literacy), and Christian formation (spiritual disciplines).

We want to train up the church in the way it should go! Join us on Sunday mornings during the second service for the Deep Discipleship curriculum, starting on Sept. 7th. In addition to the above books, this course will use the, “Deep Discipleship Journal: Christian Story, Belief, and Formation.” The journals will cost $20, payable to GREFC at the first class. We never want cost to be a hindrance to taking a class. If you are unable to afford the journal, please contact the church office and we will fund the journal for you.

See a sample of the journal here.

This course will be broken into two 12-week modules:

  • Module 1: Sept. 7-Dec. 14 (off on 10/16 and 11/30)
  • Module 2: Feb. 1-Apr. 26 (off on 4/5)

If you are interested in the philosophy behind this curriculum, we encourage you to also read “Deep Discipleship” by J.T. English (not required for the course).
