Welcome to our messages page, where you can hear relevant, encouraging and thought provoking teaching from the truths of the Bible.

Our Current Sermon Series

While history has traditionally seen Acts simply as stories about the Apostles – we now see the book is so much more. It is certainly an account of the eleven disciples after Jesus is raised from the dead, but even more so, it is an account of the early Christians: an account of the Holy spirit, an account of the early church, and most significantly, the account of the continued work of Jesus Christ and God Himself, bringing His living witness to the ends of the Earth through His people. So, come join us this year as we  explore how the Gospel of Christ first changed the world, and as we ourselves learn what it means to let that same gospel change our lives and our world, even today.

The Fleeting Life (Ecclesiastes 1:1-11)

Ecclesiastes: A Life Worth Living
  • Watch
  • Listen

We launch into the book of Ecclesiastes with the question, "Is life worth living?" The entire book deals with this question. And the beginning starts with observations about life: it's fleeting nature, how nature seems to be futile, and how nothing is new but just repeated over an over. But there is a cure for the fleeting life. Listen in as Associate Pastor Candidate, Dexter Cogburn, give us hope that while there is nothing under the sun that is worthy, there is One above the sun that has infinite value.

Scripture References: Ecclesiastes 1:1-11, James 4:14, Psalms 39:4-6, Psalms 19:5-6, Romans 8:20, Colossians 3:1-2

From Series: "Ecclesiastes: A Life Worth Living"

Ecclesiastes starts with the words, “Meaningless! Meaningless!” to describe humanity’s life here on Earth. While we are not able to control everything in our lives nor fully grasp God’s plan, we are called to rely on the one who can. Ecclesiastes invites us to live with open hands and faithful hearts, finding joy not in what we control, but in who we know: a good, purposeful, loving and eternal God. Join us on June 8th as the Bible teaches us about A Life Worth Living!

Our Vision

Faith is a Journey

You never really “arrive” at becoming a mature disciple maker. We are all called to continually grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus, to grow in love for others, to get better at blessing those around us and to increasingly share the love of Jesus with everyone. At GREFC we realize this through four key areas: Connect, Equip, Serve & Go!
