You may have noticed over the past month that we have been showing an increase in our emphasis on prayer.
We realized early in the building process that we couldn’t, nor shouldn’t, proceed without God on our side. We want the entire campaign and building process to reflect God’s will for our church.
Over the 40 days leading up to the decision to build, I invite you to pray with me, every day, that we would know God’s mind in our personal lives and in the life of our church. We want our church to be guided and empowered by God and prayer is essential to know that blessing.
These are exciting times for our church. There are many things happening and over these next 40 days we will be praying for wisdom, for ministries, our leadership, families and for God to open our hearts to his desires for our lives.
As we anticipate God working through “Making Space for Change”, we are excited to engage in 40 Days of focused prayer. What better way to lay a foundation for the next leg of our journey than a focused, extended and fervent time of prayer?
These forty days will begin on Wednesday, October 4th and end with 24-Hours of Prayer beginning on November 12th.
Maybe this will be the first time you have prayed for 40 days in a row, or perhaps you are a seasoned prayer warrior. Either way, I would urge you to set aside time every day (the amount of time doesn’t matter) to pray.
We will be providing a “40 Days of Prayer” booklet for you to use, to prompt your prayers and to note how you see God at work in your life and in the entire church during this campaign.
What makes sense for this campaign, surely makes sense for our church as a whole. That’s why we’ve been putting a greater focus on praying on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights through our newly formed Prayer Team.
We want our focus on prayer to be contagious! If there is one thing we’d like to see more than a reached monetary goal, it is that this process would produce people who are fervent in their prayer life and more connected to God than ever before!

Father, we ask that you go before us and show us how you would like us to proceed. Give us a spirit of unity and generosity. Open doors for people and give us courage to do your work. Guard your children and keep Satan and his minions out of our way.
Give each of us time to be available for the advancement of your Kingdom. Bless those in charge of this project!
