We are disciples of Jesus Christ who value…
Our relationship with God begins with God. He is the great initiator. He desires us and reveals Himself to us in His creation, His Word, His Spirit, His people, and, ultimately, in Jesus Christ. He wants to be known. We value when God teaches you something in the Scriptures, reveals His Way in general creation, speaks through someone else in your life and, with discernment, when God stirs your spirit towards Him directly.
When God reveals, we respond. In prayer, in worship, in spiritual disciplines, in community, in serving- in everything we do. We pursue Him, because He pursues us first. We love Him because He loves us first. We value when you commit yourself to Christ and His Word, take time to pray and listen to God first, seek Him actively and glorify Him in worship, and when you serve or make changes because God is moving you.
All humanity has been lost in rebellion, but all have the opportunity to receive life through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We are saved by the grace of God in His death and resurrection alone. We value when God breaks you and rebuilds you, when God convicts you and forgives you, and when God reminds you who you used to be to encourage who you are and are becoming in Christ now and forever.
Because of what God has done for us by Christ, and as He changes us to become like Christ, we actively seek to grow as individuals and as a community in Christ: In knowledge, understanding, heart, and action. We value steps you take to grow closer to Jesus, your efforts to further hear, know, and obey Christ in His Word, and speaking, hearing, and responding to Biblical truth in love through accountable community.
The Lord calls us to bring the Gospel to the ends of the earth, starting with our families, neighbors, co-workers, and communities. We seek to serve, reach, and speak to everyone we can with the Gospel. We value when you build relationships to show people Jesus, serve and care for others to demonstrate the love of Jesus, and teach, witness, and speak to others about the realities of Jesus in your own lives.
We as humans are made to be in relationship, have been created in Jesus to participate in His Church, and truly cannot live for Christ alone. We are designed by God to respond, grow, and connect together. We value when time is spent simply enjoying one another; when new relationships begin and old ones grow stronger; and when relationships are built to draw us together to Jesus wherever we are with Him in life.
