Our Kids Ministry provides warm, nurturing, and well-supervised programs for your child, accurate instruction and application of God’s Word, Prayer, and Fun!
Nursery
Sundays | 9:00 am & 10:30 am
Wednesdays | 5:45-7:15 pm
(Newborns-48 months)
Our nursery is staffed during each service with loving and caring individuals who will see to every need of your little one. Children are given the opportunity to interact, listen to Bible stories, have snacks, and PLAY! We also have a quiet and separate space for moms who want to nurse or pump, with speakers that can pipe in the sermon.
We offer one caregiver for every 5 children. Families can decide if their 3 year old is best suited to be in the nursery or in one of our PathFinders programs.
PathFinders & PathFinders Camp
Sundays | 9:00 am | Age 3-Grade 5
Sundays | 10:30 am | Age 3-Grade 1
PathFinders at 9:00 am (Sunday school) is a great time for PreK and elementary aged students to learn about God, Jesus and the Bible. We teach kids how to grow in faith in age-appropriate ways, always with an emphasis on loving God and loving others. We have great teachers who love helping kids learn biblical truths in a fun and engaging way. After checking in your kids at one of our three check-in desks, bring your kids with you to sing with the entire congregation. Kids will be dismissed to their classes after the 3-song worship set. We will always have an adult supervising children as they leave the service and head to the Kid Zone, but you can also accompany your child to their class then return to the service.
PathFinders Camp at 10:30 am is a camp-style program with games, activities, and songs yet with robust educational curriculum. Whether your child is attending for their second hour (because you were volunteering at the first service) or if this is the only program they attend, we will always be pointing kids to Jesus and offering sound teaching! Kids attending PathFinders Camp will go immediately to their classrooms at 10:30 am and not spend time in the service with their parents.
Kids who do not wish to attend Nursery or PathFinders are welcome to stay with their families. Activity bags are located in the foyer and include coloring and other activities for little ones. The content of messages is engaging and relevant for most kids 10 and older. Our pastor will announce when adult themes will be addressed to assist parent’s in deciding whether or not their children should attend the message that day.
Kid Groups
Wednesdays | 5:45-7:15 pm | PreK-Grade 5
Our Kid Groups program on Wednesday nights combines large group and small group time in one evening. Kids start in the sanctuary for a game, worship, and Bible memory lessons before breaking into smaller groups where kids meet with their leader and spend time talking about life and God, learning from various curriculum, growing in relationship with one another and having fun! Each group leader chooses a curriculum that best suits their group. Preschoolers all meet together, but older kids break into gender-specific groups. All kids with then return to the worship center for dismissal.
For Families
Parent Resources
Our goal in Kids Ministry is to partner with parents in helping your child grow spiritually. We offer a Parent Resource Center (located just outside our worship center doors) that contains recommended books and articles to help you disciple your kids, a seasonal newsletter to keep you informed, resources to help you read the bible with your kids and more.
You can follow us on Instagram at grefc_kids where we share weekly lessons, verses, and the menu for MidWeek Meals. Seasonal newsletters are posted in the Round Up each week.
Registration
We encourage parents to register every kid every year. We have many program offerings which require many resources. Knowing in advance how many kids are coming and their ages, helps us to be prepared to offer the best to your family

Check-In/Check-Out
When your child is in our care, their safety is paramount. We have three check-in kiosks: one in the foyer, one in the nursery, and one in the Kid Zone. For your children’s safety, we ask that you check-in and check-out all your kids, birth to 5th grade, for every program. Please have your child wear the printed name tag. This helps us know you have handed them into our care for the duration of the time they are with us, makes us aware of any allergies they may have, and helps us know who their parents are in case we need to contact you for any reason. When you check-out your kids we must make contact with you (and not a sibling or a friend) before releasing your child to you. This is critical in assuring that we have transferred care back to you, from us.
