In April, the Executive and the Elder Boards’ met jointly to hear a presentation from Christian Investors Financial (CIF) and learn how they could possibly help GREFC in a fundraising effort for an expansion of the church.
After the presentation, a unanimous decision was made to contract with CIF to help us set a direction, coach us and keep us accountable for the tasks ahead.
To date, we have met twice with Steve Johnson, our CIF representative.
My role as the Chair of this Capital Campaign is to oversee and manage the whole process. We have a great group of people that comprise the Capital Campaign Team:
Michelle Schwake, Communications;Scott Bainville, Prayer Team;
Ann Killian, Special Events;
Matt Grose, Advance Commitment;
Vivian Verke, Admin. Support.
These folks, along with Pastor Ken, have stepped forward to lead the Capital Campaign which will begin this Fall. However, a great deal of planning and work will be happening this summer.
If you are approached by any of these people to help in some way with the planning process, please, prayerfully consider saying yes to them.
The Capital Campaign will kickoff this September and finish in November. As the Building Committee works on all of the preliminary drawings and engineering tasks, we will have a much better cost estimate of the project when the congregation is asked to vote whether to proceed on November 14, 2017.
