Welcome to our messages page, where you can hear relevant, encouraging and thought provoking teaching from the truths of the Bible.

Current Sermon Series

Sometimes in life, the hardest challenges we face are not just following God in the first place, but rather following Him for the long haul. It is not always easy to fully trust and surrender ourselves to God in every step on the long journey of faith. But God desires to walk with us, lead us, and to see His Kingdom built in us and through us. The book of Nehemiah continues on right where the book of Ezra left off: the people of God have been established back in Jerusalem again, have rebuilt the Temple of God, and have begun the hard process of restoration and sanctification with God. But the story is far from over. Join us for our study of Nehemiah in 2023 as we see God work with His restored people to build His kingdom- through great challenges and trials-  all pointing us to what life in the Kingdom of God truly means. Join us as we look to the King and His Kingdom together through Nehemiah in 2023.

Micah Labovitch - October 30, 2022

A Leader, Trusted by Men, Loved by God

Ezra: The Lord Restores His People
  • Watch
  • Listen

Out text today gives us a snapshot of two very different men. First is Artaxerxes, King of Persia, who knows about God, wants all the good things God has to offer and wants to avoid God's wrath. Then we have Ezra, the recipient of favor from the king but who is focused on and thankful to God in humility. Which man do you resemble more?

Scripture References: Ezra 7:11-28, Proverbs 3:3-6

From Series: "Ezra: The Lord Restores His People"

For seventy years in exile and captivity, the people of God were chastised and broken. Having ignored hundreds of years of warnings from His prophets, God finally allowed Jerusalem to be destroyed and a remnant to be taken to Babylon. His people were devastated, distraught, and disciplined. But then, the call for restoration came. We have all been there. The Lord has allowed us to face the consequences of our choices, and sometimes they have been severe. But then, by the grace of God, the call of restoration comes. This is where the book of Ezra begins. Join us as we study Ezra together this fall, looking at the restoration of God’s people, and how it all ultimately points to the final restoration His people will have in Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

Faith is a Journey

You never really “arrive” at becoming a mature disciple maker. We are all called to continually grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus, to grow in love for others, to get better at blessing those around us and to increasingly share the love of Jesus with everyone. At GREFC we realize this through four key areas: Connect, Equip, Serve & Go!
