The book of Ecclesiastes starts with the words, “Meaningless! Meaningless!” to describe humanity’s life here on Earth. While we are not able to control everything in our lives nor fully grasp God’s plan, we are called to rely on the one who can. Ecclesiastes invites us to live with open hands and faithful hearts, finding joy not in what we control, but in who we know: a good, purposeful, loving and eternal God. Behold and Listen to the Humble King

The disciples, like us, want to know who is greatest in the Kingdom, when Jesus questions if they're even in the Kingdom. He reminds us that we must do anything to remove our own stumbling blocks and not be stumbling blocks for others. We are to safeguard the faith of new believers and consider ourselves, not as greatest, but as last in the social order of the Kingdom.
