The book of Ecclesiastes starts with the words, “Meaningless! Meaningless!” to describe humanity’s life here on Earth. While we are not able to control everything in our lives nor fully grasp God’s plan, we are called to rely on the one who can. Ecclesiastes invites us to live with open hands and faithful hearts, finding joy not in what we control, but in who we know: a good, purposeful, loving and eternal God. New Life Established by Christ
Sometimes cutting something off is the only way to be bonded to something new. Circumcision was just a sign of what Jesus would one day do - be cut off for us so that God could clearly display His love for us and bind us to Himself.
