Our Current Sermon Series
While history has traditionally seen Acts simply as stories about the Apostles – we now see the book is so much more. It is certainly an account of the eleven disciples after Jesus is raised from the dead, but even more so, it is an account of the early Christians: an account of the Holy spirit, an account of the early church, and most significantly, the account of the continued work of Jesus Christ and God Himself, bringing His living witness to the ends of the Earth through His people. So, come join us this year as we explore how the Gospel of Christ first changed the world, and as we ourselves learn what it means to let that same gospel change our lives and our world, even today.
For the 2025 Advent season, we will be continuing in Acts, focusing on Chapters 8 & 9, highlighting God’s gift to humanity through stories of the spread of the Gospel beyond Jerusalem.

The Gift of the Gospel (Acts 8:26-40)
God tells Phillip to leave Samaria and head south. And without asking why, he simply goes. Once there he encounters someone who is searching the scriptures, ready to encounter God. So Phillip tells him about Jesus and shares the Gospel with him. God is looking for everyday people like Phillip to simply talk with others about the good news.

A Want or a Need?
Before the angel visited Mary to tell her about being the mom of Jesus, what do you think she was wanting for her life? It probably didn't include getting pregnant before being married. However, Mary's response was acceptance to God's will for her life. We can learn a lot from Mary's attitude toward what God wanted for her life and her open-handed response to Him.
