Our Current Sermon Series
While history has traditionally seen Acts simply as stories about the Apostles – we now see the book is so much more. It is certainly an account of the eleven disciples after Jesus is raised from the dead, but even more so, it is an account of the early Christians: an account of the Holy spirit, an account of the early church, and most significantly, the account of the continued work of Jesus Christ and God Himself, bringing His living witness to the ends of the Earth through His people. So, come join us this year as we explore how the Gospel of Christ first changed the world, and as we ourselves learn what it means to let that same gospel change our lives and our world, even today.

Being Disciples of King Jesus
There is no gray area when following Jesus. Once you believe in Him and decide to follow Him, there is no going back to how things used to be. Today, we hear about the cost of following Jesus. But with that cost comes huge reward.

As we finished our sermon series in Ezra and Nehemiah, you may have gotten a sense that the story was still… incomplete. The Lord restored His remnant people and rebuilt His kingdom, but the old patterns of sin and rebellion returned all over again. And for 400 years, God’s people cried out, waiting for the King of the Kingdom to come. Well, in the Gospel of Matthew, the answer finally comes. We encounter at last the good news of the arrival of the long-anticipated king. And his name is Jesus. The books of Ezra and Nehemiah long for the Savior King; the Psalms resonate with the Savior King; and, as we saw at Advent, the whole bible ultimately points to this Savior King: Jesus Christ. But who is King Jesus? What did He say? And how can we know Him even now? Join us this Spring, Summer, and Fall as we meet King Jesus face-to-face in the Gospel of Matthew, seeking to truly experience personally the Good News of King Jesus together.

The First Paths to King Jesus
The Gospel of Matthew was written primarily to a Jewish audience to pursuade them that Jesus is the long awaited messiah of the Isrealites. Through the beginning of the book, which traces Jesus' lineage, through the story of Jesus' birth and early years, Matthew includes much supporting scripture and themes that mirror the Isrealites history. Though it was written to Jews, it's also relevant to us today, causing us to wrestle with who we think He is and whether or not we will find our ultimate hope and fulfillment in King Jesus.
