A messages from the series “Nehemiah: The Lord Builds His Kingdom.” It’s sad but true. Sometimes God’s people poorly reflect the will and heart of God with one another. Last week Nehemiah had to contend with hostilities from people outside of Israel. In this week’s message, the strife is coming from within the community of God’s people. Nehemiah sets the example of how a leader, and each of us, should respond to injustice, speak hard truths in love with other believers, and exemplify faith in God, knowing we will all have to give an account before His throne.
Lord, Deliver Us From Evil
by
A messages from the series “Nehemiah: The Lord Builds His Kingdom.” If you are doing the work of God, expect opposition. When opposed, how will you defend yourself? The text in today’s sermon gives examples of how to behave while under attack and stand firm in what God has called you to do, just as Nehemiah did when rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem.
Lord Let Your Kingdom Come
by
A messages from the series “Nehemiah: The Lord Builds His Kingdom.” God has something for each of us to do…a purpose for which he specifically designed us to do. In this sermon, we see how Nehemiah uses what God has given him to appraise the situation and devise a solution, then encourage others to work with him toward that solution. There is much to learn from Nehemiah about seeking to do things God’s way with how He uniquely made each of us.
Oh Lord, Hear Our Prayer
by
A messages from the series “Nehemiah: The Lord Builds His Kingdom.” The book of Nehemiah takes place approximately 13 years after Ezra arrived in Jerusalem. The book opens with Nehemiah receiving an update from Jerusalem which brings him great distress. Nehemiah then prays to God to use him to restore the walls and gates of Jerusalem. His heartfelt prayer serves as a Biblical example of how we should approach God through prayer.
The After Party – How the Light of the World Radiates Jesus

A messages from the series “The Invitation of Advent.” In this final message of The Invitation of Advent, we look at how the plan was always that we would be with God. We started with Him in the garden. After we rebelled and separated ourselves from God because of our sin, God Himself put into motion the way that He would bring salvation to the whole world and bring us back into fellowship with Him.
Christmas Day Service 2022
by
A messages from the series “Holiday Service.” How will you know God through Jesus this Christmas? Will you know him as the Prophet and Word of God, as Messiah & King, as the Good Shepherd, as One to serve and worship as the angels do, as the divine God here with us, or as the Light of hope in this dark world? This holiday season and beyond, meditate on all these aspects of Jesus that we explored throughout this series, “The Invitation of Advent.”
Christmas Eve – The Arrival
by
A messages from the series “The Invitation of Advent.” Immanuel, God with us. Jesus, one of the three persons of the Trinity, humbled Himself and came to earth as a helpless baby to ultimately die for us, taking on our sin, taking on Himself the punishment that we deserved. We all have a choice: we can accept Him or reject Him. What will you choose?

The Attendees – How the Shepherds Typify the Person of Jesus
by
A messages from the series “The Invitation of Advent.” The whole Bible points to our need for a true Shepherd who will guide us, protect us and lead us. So it is no accident that when the heavenly host proclaimed the advent of the Savior of the world, they came first to the shepherds.
The Venue – Bethlehem
by
A messages from the series “The Invitation of Advent.” The little town of Bethlehem sets the stage for one of the most incredible events in history. God does that time and again, using the ordinary to accomplish something extremely special. If we are to be used by God to help usher in something special, it requires faith from us. God will do the rest.
