A messages from the series “Stand Alone Messages.” How do you step into new opportunities with a lasting faith? What do you do when life is hard and you feel all alone? The apostle Paul had a lot to say to his spiritual son, Timothy, at the end of his life when he was alone in prison about these very questions. Paul’s focus was not on himself but on Jesus. As graduates, and really all of us, head into the unknown, we need to depend on the Holy Spirit who directs the eyes of our heart to Jesus instead of our circumstances.

There are times we need to get alone with God so that He can work good in our lives, changing us from our old ways to a new way of living. If we don’t go willingly He may use drastic measures because we need to be delivered from our self-reliance to full reliance on Him alone.

God’s providence means that He is working life events to suit His will and bring about His goodness. Today we will see God’s providence at work in the story of Moses’ mother, who cast him into the Nile after much prayer.

Praying brings you into relationship with God the Father. Listen as Pastor Ron takes us through the Lord’s prayer, the prayer Jesus taught us.

Disciples of Jesus are those that abide in Him. We, as branches, cannot produce fruit on our own, apart from the true Vine.

For this kickoff sermon of the new series, Infinite Value, we learn that when we become disciples there is so much that we gain from Jesus Christ. Our savior intercedes for us and gives himself to us, serving as our high priest.

Dr. Ron Frost, longtime friend of GREFC, Bible scholar and church historian shares with us about the upside down world in which we live. Our world, once sin entered the picture, has become a capsized ship. Those on the ship are jockeying for positions of importance, not realizing that they are on a doomed ship. When rescue comes they scoff at the notion that they need rescuing and instead work to get rid of the rescuer.
