Paul calls us to be imitators of God…to mimic Him. We are to live as greatly loved Children of God, in a spiritual state of love that we then pass on to others. But there are forces that want to pull us away from living that kind of life.

God loves us with an agenda – to conform us to the image of Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul calls the Ephesian church to put off their old ways and start living in a new way for a new reason. When we become the adopted sons and daughters of God, we are called to no longer walk in the ways that we did before we came to Christ. Instead we are to be renewed, driven by God’s truth and centered on Jesus.
