YHWH’s Passover Completed

Make no mistake. God's judgement is terrible and no one would want to receive it. Yet we are all deserving of God's judgement. In today's passage we observe God passing a fatal judgement on the Egyptians. While we often ask why God exacts justice, we should be focusing on why He decides to save anyone at all. And the reason that He does extend mercy and grace to some is so that they would have a relationship with Him and be His people.
