Travel with us to ancient Egypt to meet Joseph, a man of God who is sold into slavery by his very own brothers. Experience his journey as he goes from prison to one of the highest officials in the Egyptian palace! We hope you’ll join us for an exciting week of Vacation Bible School, here at Grand Rapids Evangelical Free Church!
What You Need To Know
- Kids come every morning during the week of June 2-6, 2025.
- Programming starts at 9:00 am and ends at 12:00 pm.
- Parents/Guardians are not required to stay while their kids attend.
- VBS is FREE! But registration is required for each child.
- We have T-Shirts available for purchase! These must be pre-ordered by May 15th, 2025. See the chart below. (VBS T-Shirts are not required to attend VBS.)
- CD’s featuring all the music that we use during VBS will be available for $5 during VBS week.
- VBS is open to any child in our community aged 3 to 5th grade (just completed)!
A Typical Day at VBS
All kids will start the morning together where they will hear the Bible story focus for the day. Then the children will be grouped with similarly aged kids and will rotate to various activities:
- Visiting with Joseph during Joseph’s Journey
- Family Time where they go deeper into Joseph’s story and have a snack
- Engage in fun games and activities during Pyramid Playground
- Create crafts for the Marketplace Shop
After their group activities, all the kids will come together again for the closing time where we’ll reinforce the story and get ready for their parents to pick them up.
VBS T-shirts are OPTIONAL! They are not required to be worn during VBS week.
Hard copy T-Shirt order forms will be available at the church starting Sunday, April 27th during morning services. The church office is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm if you’d like to submit your form and payment during the week.
Example T-Shirts will be available in the church foyer for you to see, touch, and gauge sizing. Full payment by cash or check is due when submitting the order form. T-shirts will be available for pick up the Sunday morning before VBS during regular church services (9:00 am-Noon) and on the first morning of VBS week.
We are hoping to offer Online T-Shirt order forms along with online payment soon! So check back regularly. All T-shirts must be ordered and paid for by May 15th in order to arrive before VBS week.
