Unmet Expectations for King Jesus
We all have expectations. In fact, we often merge the American Dream with the Gospel and expect to have the perfect life with some Jesus on the side. Yet that's not what Jesus is offering. What Jesus offers is to be like him, taking up our cross daily. Today's sermon talks about the doubt, disappointment, and defiance that can happen when we try to force God into our expectations instead of willingly submitting to His desires for us.
